On April 15, 1985, Lee Sitlinger and Dennis McGlincy first opened the doors of the law firm that was to become Sitlinger, McGlincy, Theiler & Karem. Lee and Dennis had been good friends in law school, and within a few years they were joined by another law school friend Charles "Chuck" Theiler. Soon afterwards, Edmund "Pete" Karem joined the firm after nine years serving as a trial judge.

Since this core group of distinguished attorneys has been in place, Sitlinger, McGlincy, Theiler & Karem has gone on to become a leader among small law firms in Louisville's legal community. Meanwhile, Lee's son Curt Sitlinger and Pete's son Scott Karem also joined the firm, adding a family dimension to the already strong ties of friendship which help bring out the full potential in all of our attorneys.
