Referral Fees: At Sitlinger, McGlincy, Theiler & Karem we regularly split fees with referring lawyers in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Kentucky. The rules allow for the division of a fee under the following circumstances:

• The division is in proportion to the services performed by each lawyer or, by written agreement with the client, each lawyer assumes joint responsibility for the representation
• The client is advised in writing of and does not object to the participation of all of the lawyers involved
• The total fee charged to the client is reasonable
